Summary of theC ertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):
Provides quality rehabilitation care to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as outlined in the plan of care in accordance with laws, regulations, and Facility guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities of theCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):
o Implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
oCommunicate with patience, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team.
o Providetimely written documentation per facility and department requirements.
o Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional association.
o Providetimely written documentation as required.
o Support and participate in department operations and development.
o Report any changes in patient status or needs to supervising therapist on a timely basis.
o Prepare and submit patient charges accurately to access appropriate billing information.
o Coordinate treatment goals with other team members.
Job Requirements ofCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):
Current COTA(Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)License Current CPR At least one (1) experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
