Medical Assistant - Starke, FL Looking for a new career path? MainStreet Family Care is growing and we're looking to hire fast, fun and friendly Medical Assistants to join our team! Our Medical Assistants provide a great service to our patients providing them with excellent care.
Services provided to the public include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.
The ideal applicant will be able to assist the onsite provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.

Responsibilities:
ClinicalPrepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instrumentsTake patient histories and vital signsPrepare patient for examination and treatmentDispense medication as directedInstruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicableHandle telephone calls from clients, patients, prospective patients, physicians, pharmacies, as well as other staffProvide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of positionClerical Patient intake including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and companiesCorrespondence by phone, in person, or in writing regarding patient care, i.
e.
insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physiciansMaintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians' review, etc.
Assist with scheduling of test and treatmentsComplete opening and closing proceduresOther DutiesMaintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.
e.
wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
Annual training as neededHelp produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outsMaintain clean, professional working/treatment areaAccept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise All other duties as assigned Rotating Schedule:
Clinic staff will be split into two shifts:
Shift A and Shift B.
Each shift will work on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend, sample below:

Qualifications:
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.
)Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required Compensation and

Position begins at $14 / hr.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
