TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32)

As a Training Technician, GS-1702-09, you will you will assist the Supervisory Operations and Training Specialist or Operations and Training Specialist in the management of the firing ranges, training and bivouac areas, learning and simulation centers, records, security. preparation of overlays, maps, charts and graphics for plans and associated briefings, and the maintenance of equipment assigned to the Directorate; oversee and serve as the point of contact for the operation of the MTA training and audiovisual support office, learning center and simulation centers; develop standing operating procedures for use and operation of facilities; prepare lesson plans and organizes periods of instruction for use and operation of simulation center hardware; coordinate with the Supply Clerks to ensure that learning and simulation centers are operational and required training aids, audiovisual equipment, simulation devices, and components are requisitioned, safeguarded, and maintained. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709, and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only. Category 1:
All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3:
All current military members of the Florida National Guard. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS:
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only:
This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in the Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 position once incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only:
This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition. Experience:
Must have a minimum of one year at the next lower level which includes the validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of training; the experience, education, or training to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures to perform or learn to perform the duties of a training technician? SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 12 months of experience equivalent to at least GS-06; which includes the basic knowledge of Army vision, values, organization, policy, and mission; familiar with training centers, training programs, schools, and units; experience in conducting or developing education or training programs; familiar with audio-visual presentations, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques; experience in scheduling training events and facilities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
