SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (T32)

As a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (T32), GS-2001-11, you will develop goals and objectives that integrate organizational, logistics, supply, transportation and inventory management; establish, review, and revise policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary, to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment; promote team building, implements quality improvements, and responds to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements; delegate responsibility and authority to subordinates; provide advice, counsel, and instruction on work and administrative matters; develop draft policies, concepts, and procedures to ensure that an effective operation is maintained using personnel, equipment, and funding to support the mission; ensure coordination with the other state USPFO, USPFO branches and state activities and units for material support for projects, operations, or programs including works such as:
equipment fielding, commercial non-standard equipment authorizations and distribution; provide guidance regarding logistic inventory control and conducting surveys of logistic supplies and inventory management functions. AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709, and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only. Category 1:
All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3:
All current military members of the Florida National Guard. PCS:
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only:
This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in the Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 position once incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only:
This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition. Experience:
Must have experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
GS-11 must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
